Privacy Policy for Endeka

This Privacy Policy explains how Endeka (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Endeka mobile application (the “App”), which provides news, match information (fixtures, results, standings), analytical reports, and match forecasts related to the Greek Super League.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1) Who we are (Data Controller)

2) What information we collect

A) Information you provide

  • Account information: when you create or use an account, we may collect information such as your email address, account identifiers, and basic account settings.
  • Support communications: if you contact us, we collect the information you provide (typically your email address and message content).

B) Information collected automatically

  • Device & app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and approximate region/country.
  • Usage information: interactions with the App (e.g., screens viewed, features used, reading/opening content, actions taken in the App).
  • Diagnostics: crash logs, performance data, and error information to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

C) Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

If you enable push notifications, we process a push notification token and related delivery metadata so we can send notifications such as news updates, analytical reports, and match forecasts. You can disable notifications anytime in your device settings.

D) Location

We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the App and its features (including news, match information, analytics, and forecasts).
  • Maintain accounts and user authentication.
  • Send notifications you opt into.
  • Monitor reliability and security, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse.
  • Understand how the App is used and improve the App (analytics and product insights).
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4) Legal bases (EEA/UK – GDPR)

If you are in the EEA/UK, we rely on:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the App features you request, including account functionality).
  • Legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the App, understand usage, and fix bugs).
  • Consent (where required, including enabling push notifications and any future advertising/personalization features, if applicable).
  • Legal obligation (where required by law).

5) Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers (processors) that help run the App (analytics, crash reporting, cloud infrastructure).
  • Legal and safety recipients if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6) Third-party services (SDKs) and external links

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications
  • Firebase Analytics (GA4) for usage analytics
  • Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and diagnostics
  • Mixpanel for product analytics (EU data residency)

These providers may process device identifiers, usage events, and diagnostics data to provide their services.

The App may also include external links (e.g., to news sources). When you open external links, those third parties handle data under their own privacy policies.

7) Data storage and international transfers

We operate our own server infrastructure in the EU and use third-party providers that may also process data in the EU.

In limited cases, our service providers may process data outside the EEA depending on their infrastructure and sub-processors. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (for example, contractual protections used by providers).

8) Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. In particular:

  • Firebase Analytics (GA4): user- and event-level data is retained for up to 14 months, according to our Analytics retention settings.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: crash stack traces and related identifiers are retained for up to 90 days before the removal process begins.
  • Mixpanel (EU Residency): we retain analytics data for up to 18 months (or according to our project settings).
  • Account data: retained while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion, unless we must retain certain information for legal or security reasons.
  • Support communications: retained as needed to resolve issues and for reasonable recordkeeping.

9) Account deletion

You can delete your account in the App (Settings → Delete Account).

10) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information (such as access controls and secure transmission where supported). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11) Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Data portability (where applicable)
  • Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12) Children’s privacy (16+)

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at endeka.app@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13) Advertising (planned for the future)

The App does not currently show ads. If we introduce advertising in the future, we may process identifiers such as the advertising ID (where available/allowed) and related measurement data. We will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request your consent before enabling ad personalization.

14) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we may provide an in-app notice.
